We take your wellness seriously and want to help you make the best informed decision for your specific need. Here are a few things you should be looking for before purchasing any CBD product:
What is the benefit of organic CBD oil?
Amidst nutrition facts, ingredients lists, and certifications on product packages, “organic” might appear as one more piece of information to decipher. Understanding what USDA organic really means, is important to make informed choices and ensuring you are getting the highest quality products without unnecessary or unhealthy additives.
USDA certified organic crops are grown and processed according to federal guidelines addressing, among many factors, soil quality, pest and weed control, and use of additives. Organic producers rely on natural substances and physical, mechanical, or biologically based farming methods to the fullest extent possible.
To be certified USDA organic, crops must have grown on soil that had no prohibited substances applied for three years prior to harvest. Prohibited substances include most synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.
Ambassador products are grown outdoors, under natural conditions, on organic as well as certified USDA organic hemp farms in Colombia and Jamaica. We’ve taken the extra step to partner with farmers and processors dedicated to organic practices from seed to final extraction, and bottling in facilities under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
What is the benefit of “full spectrum” CBD oil, as opposed to broad spectrum or CBD isolate?
Ambassador products are produced from the entire hemp plant (including the flower) and are all full-spectrum products. Full-spectrum essentially means that the product contains all of the naturally occurring cannabinoids that exist within the hemp plant, as nature intended. But that’s not all. Full-spectrum products also contain components like terpenes.
But what about THC? While full-spectrum products do contain trace amounts of THC, the total amount is not enough to induce any psychoactive effects. Ambassador full-spectrum hemp-derived CBD products are laboratory tested twice to ensure they contain no more than 0.3% THC.
There are benefits to the product containing all of the naturally occurring cannabinoids found in the hemp plant because it means the product will produce something that is referred to as an “entourage effect.” The entourage effect refers to the general effectiveness of the product due to the synergistic nature in which the cannabinoids and terpenes interact with one another.
How many milligrams of CBD are in the bottle? What are you paying per milligram of CBD? Some 30ml tincture bottles have as little as 25mg of CBD.
It’s important to look at mg/ml value as well as how much total CBD is in the product. Our products are value priced when you look at the cost for the total amount of active ingredient in each bottle. In a 30mL bottle, we offer our 33mg/mL concentration, which has 990mg of CBD and our 50mg/mL concentration, which has 1500mg of CBD.
Has the product been tested by an independent third party?
At Ambassador, we go to great lengths to ensure our farmers and processors use the best practices and maintain the highest standards possible. All of our products are tested twice: once at the origin and once when it arrives in the U.S. An independent, third-party testing laboratory confirms that the product is free from pesticides, heavy metals, microbials, residual solvents, or other contaminants. The lab results will also indicate which cannabinoids were detected, and how much of each of those cannabinoids was present in the lab sample. Finally, to promote complete transparency we make all testing results available to our consumers via QR code on each product. You can find the results for your product here.
How is the oil extracted? Via safe methods, or using potentially harmful solvents?
CO2 is currently the cleanest, most precise and environmentally-friendly extraction method. By using CO2 extraction, Ambassador massively reduces the potential for contamination of its products. Here’s how CO2 oil extraction works across our product lines:
Is the carrier oil made from organic MCT?
MCT oil is made from a type of fat called medium-chain triglycerides. This carrier oil allows you to absorb CBD more easily. Our carrier oil (MCT oil) is USDA organic.
